What is Speed Picking?
Speed picking (also called alternate picking at high tempo) is a guitar technique where the player uses strict alternating down- and upstrokes to play fast single-note lines. It requires precise wrist motion, efficient pick grip, and a technique called pick slanting to navigate cleanly between strings.
